Michaela Vergottis was born and raised in London. She was educated at The University of Westminster London where she received a degree in Curating from Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London. To date, Michaela’s career has been set in London, where she initially worked for various galleries until she joined Sotheby’s with a focus on the Fine and Decorative arts. In 2008 she moved to Bonhams as a Specialist in The Greek Art Department focusing on 19th Century paintings to Contemporary. There, she advised private clients while she also set-up a business framework around the auctions and exhibitions for the various departments. After focusing purely on the art side for several years, she joined the Fine Art Fund Group as an Associate Director of Art Advisory where she gained the knowledge and expertise of the International art market and the ability to view art as an asset class, giving her the opportunity to advise private clients on art as an investment.
Michaela Vergottis, with more than 10 years of experience in the Art world, has been working with private and corporate clients as well as family offices assisting in artwork curating and managing artwork as an investment. Furthermore, through a well-established global network of art dealers and collectors, as well as through her collaboration with auction houses and private art funds Michaela can assist her clients, spanning from individual /private project to institutional onces, on building an art collection, maintaining existing collections as well as diversifying them.
Based in London, with frequent travel abroad Michaela is fluent in English, Greek and basic French.
